Steve Preston
Steve Preston manages grantmaking under the Democracy and Civic Initiatives program related to advancing our Voter Participation and Responsive Local Government objectives.
Prior to his role at the Foundation, Steve worked as the Chief Program Officer at Share Food Program, the largest-distributing food bank in the Philadelphia region. As Chief Program Officer, Steve oversaw all of Share’s distribution efforts and educational programs. Before his role at Share Food Program, Steve served in Mayor Kenney’s administration in multiple roles, including First Deputy Chief Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Officer and Deputy Chief of Staff to Mayor Kenney, where he helped lead efforts to pass the City’s beverage tax. Steve also previously served in various roles focused on community organizing and politics.
Steve holds a BA in International Relations and Spanish Language from Duquesne University.
