Arts and Culture

Meghan Beals manages grantmaking under the Arts and Culture program related to advancing our Arts and Culture Programming objective.

Meghan is an arts advocate and nonprofit arts administrator with years of experience in developing and managing programs, community engagement, and forging partnerships amongst nonprofit, higher education, and civic institutions. As a working artist, she led organizations and programming in New York City, Los Angeles, and Chicago. Prior to joining the Foundation, Meghan served as a Cultural Grants Associate at the Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events for the City of Chicago. In this role she designed and managed the Neighborhood Access Program which supported historically disinvested communities through funding community-centered arts and culture programming.

Meghan holds a BA in theatre from the University of Southern California, an MFA in theatre directing from DePaul University, and a Certificate in Public Management.
