Quality Talks Series: Event #1

Quality Talks Series: Event #1

Event Description:

On Tuesday, July 28, 2015, the William Penn Foundation hosted the first in a series of four convenings titled “Quality Talks,” in which we aimed to unpack some of the challenges facing the early childhood education sector in Philadelphia. At the first event in the series, educational stakeholders and policymakers in Philadelphia gathered to hear highlights of a new report that examines the financial challenges program providers face, and offers recommendations about actions to increase access to high-quality care. The report, Overcoming Financial Barriers to Expanding High-Quality Early Care & Education in Southeastern Pennsylvania, is based on the Nonprofit Finance Fund’s work with more than 147 nonprofit child care centers in Southeastern Pennsylvania.
