To our grantees:

As we find ourselves in this uncertain time, we are reaching out to reduce uncertainty where we can and to let you know that we are always open to your questions and insights. We know that for many of you this situation raises concerns about the wellbeing of your staff, constituents, business operations, and planned project work, as well as the ability to count on certain revenue streams.

We want to assure you of three things:

  1. The Foundation expects no interruption of scheduled grant payments. We have proactively taken steps to ensure scheduled payments will be made as planned.
  2. We know the Governor’s recommendation for social distancing means that some projects and planned events must be postponed or cancelled. Please know your safety and wellbeing, that of your employees, and of the community are of paramount importance and are our first priority.
  3. If Foundation-funded work is affected as a result of the Coronavirus, rest assured that we understand the need to cancel and/or reschedule certain events and meetings, or adjust timelines on other work. We will be flexible in terms of timing and grant deliverables in response to the unprecedented and rapidly evolving nature of this public health crisis.

As always, we encourage you to stay in close communication with your program officers, especially if you foresee or experience organizational or project challenges. Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns.

Sincerely,

Shawn McCaney
Executive Director
