Position Summary
The William Penn Foundation is seeking a highly motivated graduating college senior or recent graduate to join the Investment Team for a 2-3 year program. The Team is responsible for investing the Foundation’s $3.5+ billion portfolio, financing $125+ million of annual grants. The portfolio consists of fund managers across all asset classes including equities, fixed income, and alternative investments such as Hedge Funds, Venture Capital, Real Assets, and Private Equity.

Investment Analysts provide operational and analytical support to the Investment Directors and the Chief Investment Officer to help monitor existing investments and evaluate new opportunities.

We are looking for 2023 college graduates or recent college graduates for this position


  • Performs financial analysis and provides support to the Investment Team
  • Assists with research, resolution, and coordination of all operational questions and issues concerning the Foundation’s investment activity from vendors and investment managers
  • Performs regular data analysis and generates reports regarding portfolio performance, exposures, asset allocation, and risk
  • Coordinates and effectively manages external vendor relationships
  • Assists investment team in due diligence of potential and existing investment managers
  • Provides support for Investment Committee meetings
  • Assists with investment related special projects

Education, Training and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree required (B.A./B.S.) with 0-2 years of related work experience
  • Demonstrated skills in research and quantitative analysis
  • High level of academic success, must enjoy working with numbers
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to follow-up on and complete tasks on a timely basis
  • Strong work ethic, personal integrity, attention to detail, a quick learner, a problem-solver, an independent thinker and a team player
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of Bloomberg and other analytical software is preferred
