Michele manages and guides strategy for the Watershed Protection Program's constituency building grant portfolio, a body of work that aims to build support for the protection of the Delaware River watershed through increased public access to water and experiential environmental education on and near the region’s waterways. As part of this work, she has guided the development and strategy of the Alliance for Watershed Education, a WPF-funded network of 20+ organizations that aims to build public will for the watershed.

Prior to joining the Foundation in 2013, Michele worked in state government as a Budget Analyst at the Ohio Legislative Service Commission. In that role, she provided research, analysis and bill drafting to the General Assembly on K–12 school funding and school choice issues. A New Jersey native, Michele holds a B.A. in economics from Swarthmore College.
