Chris manages a portfolio of grants and program-related investments that primarily support the Foundation’s Watershed Protection Program strategies, including work on conservation finance, best management practices in agriculture, corporate engagement, and market development to monetize ecosystem services. Before joining the Foundation in 2015, he co-founded, managed, and raised capital for the crowdfunding company Zokos.

A West Philadelphia native, Chris holds a Master of Environmental Management (M.E.M.) from the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies and a B.A. from Vassar College. While at Yale, he worked as the lead research program coordinator for the Yale Center for Business and the Environment. He has consulted for regional and international NGOs, startups, and Fortune 500 companies on sustainability projects involving water, agriculture, climate change, lifecycle assessment, and impact investing.
